Join Gulf South for a Green Deal

On June 4th residents from across the Gulf South converged on Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Gulf Gathering for Climate Justice and Joy.

Over a thousand Texans, Louisianans, Mississippians, Floridians, and Alabamans came together to celebrate the hopeful futures that are still possible for the places we call home and to develop strategies to realize them.

No False Promises

For too long, oil and gas companies have avoided accountability and undermined climate action by offering false promises. They promise to reduce carbon emissions using unproven and harmful technologies in a bid to deepen our dependence on fossil fuels.

We don’t need false promises. We need real climate action. And if those of us who cherish and celebrate the Gulf South come together, we can win it.
